Introduction:
ISRO’s first human mission, Gaganyaan, India’s manned space flight mission was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his speech on the occasion of Independence Day. Two men and one woman will be part of the crew. The spacecraft will be placed in the Earth’s orbit at around 300 to 400 km. The mobile technologies would cost less than INR 10,000 crores. The manned space flight project has been in operation since 2004 and will bear fruit before the 75th anniversary of independence in 2022. The spacecraft will have the best security systems to protect it.

India’s first Human mission, ‘Gaganyaan’ will send three astronauts, including a woman, for seven days in a low orbit around 300 to 400 kilometers. It will provide R&D to develop the latest mobiles in the country. The mission will make India the fourth nation in the world to launch a manned spaceflight mission. The three-stage heavy launcher ISRO GSLV Mk III will be used to propel Gaganyaan into space. It is expected that the program will be completed in 2022. The first unmanned flight will be carried out within 30 months. The mission will be to send a team of three people to space for seven days. According to the schedule, the first and second ISRO unmanned flights will be put into orbit within 30 and 36 months from August 2018, while the third, which will be the first human spacecraft, will be put into orbit by the 40th month. Development of Gaganyaan will be a boost to mobile technologies used in the country.
The first human mission, Gaganyaan modular system, weighing almost seven tons, has been developed by ISRO, as the orbital module is a combination of the service module and the crew module. The crew module in which the astronauts live has a diameter of 3.7 meters and a height of 7 meters.

The unprecedented India’s first Human mission (space flight) will be the result of a collaboration of ISRO with universities and other public and private organizations and help create employment for 15,000 people and focus on new tech-advanced areas. The latest tech will improve the scientific and technological level in India and contribute to the execution of the national project with help of universities.
